A nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of people with disabilities by providing education and recreational opportunities that encourage personal growth. Winter is focused on skiing, while the summer programs are more extensive.

Climbing Gym

Sponsored and supervised by the Horizon Program, the climbing gym is open at Telluide middle/High School most week nights during the winter for climbers of all ages. Shoes and harnesses are available.

Gone skiing? The Mountain Village Activity Center’s skilled professionals provide childcare, with a ratio of one staff person to every two infants and one staff person to every five toddlers. Ages 2 months to 3 years. Daily 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Reservations required.

Ski adventures are open to children ages 3-12, of all abilities. Rentals are available with lessons. Snowboarding lessons are open to children ages 7-12, of all abilities.

Bring the family and your sled or innertube to Firecracker Hill at Town Park. Daytime only. The Nordic Center in the park rents sleds for cheap: 970.728.1144.
